Decorating Our Garden For Halloween

So today is the first of September.  If you've been here before, you might have noticed that Mom made some additions to the blog's design today.  She also informed the whole family that it's time to start thinking about Halloween.

My brother posted some choices of costumes for Mom and Dad on his blog, and I'm going to start with some Halloween garden decorations for this one. Since my blog is about gardening, and my Mom loves Halloween, I want to look at cool decorations for our yard.

We have found a lot of them though, so I think I'll be making several posts on this topic over the next few weeks.

First-  are the Skeleton Yard Flamingos Lawn Decor Ornaments.  We live in Florida, so flamingos are definitely a good fit, plus they're 'different.'  Mom said she's seen these online, but never in anyone's actual yard.
The  Skeleton Yard Flamingos measure  27 and 30 Inches tall,  one short neck, one long. This lovely pair of Skelamingos are also great for Over The Hill Partys, and make a great Gag Gifts.

The black and white ones have been around a while, but mom said she's never seen these DevilMingo Flamingos anywhere.  Not just not in someone's yard, but not even online.  I think she might want these even more than the black and white ones.

Mom couldn't resist these.  Especially because they're under $10.00.  They sell for about $30.00 in the stores around here, so she added this one to the Wish List.
I can't wait to make get these Zombie Arm Lawn Stakes in the ground right in front of one of our cemetery headstones.

Every year, Mom buys a lot of new decorations for Halloween, and at least one big one.  She said that this might be one of this year's 'big ones.'  It's called a Garden Zombie and it we don't have one.  We have a wolf man, Dracula, and Frankensteing, but no zombie.  Yet.

Amazon calls these "Frog Solar Lights," but they should really be called something like Radioactive Frogs.  I think that would be much more appropriate for Halloween.  Mom says these are a 'maybe.'

That's 5 items on the Halloween garden decorations list for now.  She says we'll keep looking to see what else we find. We're going to do some shopping at the stores here in town soon, and we'll post pictures of our finds here on the blog.
